CONTEMPORARY FINE ART
PORTRAITS LANDSCAPE ABSTRACT
Profile
I trained at Chelsea College of Art and Design, Camberwell College of Arts and Winchester School of Art, graduating with a Masters Degree in Fine Art Painting in 2004.
My practice shifts between realism and abstraction, embracing different genres, medium, scale and technique. I could be painting a large oil one week and then working on a small delicate drawing the next. I thrive on the switch of discipline and the variety this brings to my work.
I have exhibited in both group and solo shows in London, as well as showing my work nationally. My paintings have also been selected and short-listed for prize-winning shows.
More recently I have mainly worked to commission. Clients will approach me to produce artworks particular to them. I may be asked to paint either an abstract piece for them, a scene from a honeymoon destination, a view of the family’s garden, or a favourite place that conjures up very special memories. Interestingly, I am probably most busy with my portraits of family and much -loved pets. These may either be painted in oils or watercolour, or drawn in pastel or charcoal.
